FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What exactly is a “program” and how do I receive it?

When you purchase a program from our store, you’ll receive it via the BridgeAthletic app (iOS, Android, and tablet). After purchase, you'll get an email invite to join our “organization” there. Accept it, log in, and the program (workouts, cues, videos, tracking) shows up on your dashboard.
We embed instructional videos, cues, custom weight prescriptions, readiness surveys, etc., so the app keeps you on track.

2. What is the difference between “semi-custom” and “fully customized” programs?

  • Semi-custom — You pick from predefined templates built by us, with customization built into the program algorithm (e.g. weight scaling, progression) based on your inputs.

  • Fully customized — We build a training plan tailored to your exact needs (riding schedule, injury history, strength profile), and you get direct coach support + a custom nutrition plan. Because this takes extra time and resources, availability is limited and pricing varies.
If you're unsure which you need, we’ll help you choose when you contact us.

3. What equipment do I need for your programs?

It depends on the program. For example, our “12 Week Train From Home – No Equipment” program is designed to require no equipment.
Other programs may assume access to a gym or basic equipment (dumbbells, bands, barbells, etc.). In each program’s description we list recommended equipment or setting that best accommodates the plan. If unsure, ask us before purchasing by emailing matt@gravityhp.com

4. Can I adjust or skip workouts (if I’m injured or traveling)?

Yes. The plans are built with flexibility in mind. Workouts are designed to be completed sequentially however program workouts are not assigned to days on the calendar, rather they are in a “playlist” style where you can preview and choose what is right based on your schedule and needs. Notify us / communicate with your coach if you experience injury, travel, or downtime — especially for fully customized programs.
We can adapt load, intensity, and progression if needed — just reach out and we’ll work through adjustments with you.

5. What is the refund / cancellation policy?

Because these are digital training products, once you’ve accessed the content (or been invited into the Bridge app), refunds may be limited. Please refer to our “Legal” page for specifics.
If you haven’t yet accepted the invite or started using the program, contact us and we’ll evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
For fully customized coaching, cancellation terms will be defined in your coaching agreement.

6. How do you generate “custom weight prescriptions”?

When you begin a program, you're typically asked to input baseline strength or performance data (e.g. your current PRs or estimated max lifts). From there, our proprietary algorithm scales weights and progressions for each workout based on that input and your performance history (plus readiness survey feedback).
As you update the app with your set results, future prescriptions can adapt accordingly.

7. Do you offer team, group, or club pricing?

Yes — for clubs, teams, or groups of riders, we can tailor pricing or bulk options.
Contact us at matt@gravityhp.com for more details.

8. What do I do when I finish a program? Is there a “next step”?

At the end of a program, you can choose another program from our store and notify matt@gravityhp.com for it to be made available to you. If you need to change programs for any reason, just reach out to the email above. If you were on a fully customized coaching plan, we’ll re-assess and plan your next block together.

9. Is nutrition included?

Nutrition is only included in fully customized plans. Semi-custom templates generally focus on training; you may receive general guidelines, but not individualized meal plans. If you want full diet support, a customized plan is needed.

10. What support is available if I have technical issues or questions mid-program?

For BridgeAthletic technical issues (app, login, tracking), the Bridge application has a support section that will cover almost everything you will need. You can also reach out to bridge directly via the app.

For account issues, reach out to matt@gravityhp.com

11. Can I use your programs if I’m rehabbing an injury or coming off time off?

Yes — one of our core value propositions is that even riders reconditioning after injury can use our programs.
In those cases, we strongly recommend the fully customized option so we can build around your limitations, modify load/volume, and monitor progress carefully. While we not a medical service, we are able to collaborate with your medical professional for guidance on your rehabilitation protocol.

12. Is the store only for mountain bike athletes?

While our core focus is mountain bike (XC, Enduro, DH) riders, many of the strength, mobility, and performance principles are broadly applicable. Currently, if you ride road, gravel, or other cycling styles, contact us; we may be able to adapt or advise which program fits best.

13. What are “readiness surveys” and how do they affect my program?

At various intervals you’ll be prompted to record how your body feels (e.g. fatigue, soreness, sleep) via short readiness surveys. The algorithm will use that data to adjust load (intensity, volume) so you don’t overreach unnecessarily.

14. How long will it take before I see results?

This depends on your starting point, consistency, sleep/recovery, nutrition, and how well you adhere. Many riders begin to see changes in strength, mobility, control, or recovery within a few weeks. Longer term gains (power transfer, performance in aggressive terrain) often take months. The idea is sustainable progress rather than ever-rushing jumps. Mechanical structures simply take time for the body to build and everyone’s physiology is different.

15. Are there prerequisites or baseline fitness needed to use your programs?

Programs like “8 Week MTB Beginner” are explicitly built for newcomers or those returning after downtime.
If you have severe limitations (e.g. post-surgery, chronic conditions), we may want to do a video consult first to ensure safety before you begin. We request that you have been cleared to participate in any of our programs by your medical provider and each program includes a waiver that is required to agree too.

16. Do I retain access to the program after I finish, or is access time limited?

Once you own a program, you retain it in your account for as long as you are a subscribed member. Memberships are reoccurring monthly at a fixed price unless its a fully customized version.

17. Is my data private / who owns my workout data?

We take privacy seriously. Your training logs, readiness responses, and any personal data remain part of your BridgeAthletic profile.
We will not share your personal data with third parties without permission, and any aggregated data we use is anonymized. Please see our privacy policy for additional detail.
